Sir Birdington 4: Future of Apocalypses
You must, must know the icon Sir Birdington. The Future awaits...
As the world started healing from wreaths of reptiles and mammals, the places of Birdship became very crowded. "Oh bless Lord Bird!" they would say at a holy Birdship a few years after his death. But now he is no longer prayed for. Birds have, well, moved on. Soon enough, some Bird would conquer Earth.
Birds are technically Reptiles. Having overthrown their previous masters, a new change would come. Lord Marmaduke would fall to the leader of the mammals. His brave men would vanquish them. Just 20 years ago, mammals still were in South America. They are now consisted of small rodents today and llamas that'd been herded back.
Sceptile was one of the biggest nuisance to Birds. Only 90,000 years ago, he completely obliterated the Phorushracids, who were the dominating ground birds. They had raw power, but their numbers started declining after Smilodon moved in. Sceptile didn't bother about him. He kept them so they could destroy Terror Birds.
And just 10,000 years ago, Smilodon died out. The leader after the Ice Age apocalypse, Slyther, was devastated. So he invented the gun. The gun massacred 500,000 times more people that year than a crossbow, bow or sword combined, as well as a spear and axe, dagger and knife. Birds never made armies after that, until Sir Nicholas Wensleydale did.
He was the father of Sir Birdington. No wonder that when Nicholas made his army, the nuclear bomb was invented. The reptiles wanted them to go to a different continent, so they didn't bomb their homeland. Nicholas knew this very simple plan and stayed. The leader of the reptiles simply gunned their hideout though.
No longer the past
At 1783, Sir Birdington made a child. At 1811, the child made a child. At 1835, Sir Birdington's great-grandson. 1901, and we see the great-great-great grandson. 35 years later, another generation. It's 1954, and we see the son of that other generation. Two generations later, and we are in modern day.
The grandfather of Bek, the son of Hallik and the grandson of Berdai, who was Sir Birdington's 1954 generation. Berdai is still alive. His father, Beakswish, is too. But Economy started becoming larger in recent years. Sir Bird never thought about economy, but he did make it a little bigger.
As the mammals took the ascent, economy dropped dwindlingly. Nowadays it is much less than it was before. And when reptiles ruled, the economy was more stable. Reasons for it's stability is because they lived there. It was against the law to any animal to put different laws on different creatures.
The law, The Laws Of Life, was one of 5 laws: Democracy, Fairness, Freedom, Stability, and Equality (DEFFS). Established 4.5 billion years ago when Plankton first entered our seas, it has been broken, although as the name would say life, and many times has it broken. Apartheid is a more "Recent" example.
The oldest known type of breaking the law was Plunder. Plankton were megarich, and many often stole from others. Plankton did not have arms, or brains, so pretty much all got away with it. But later life forms could think. Especially human beings, who once had around more than 1000 punishments at the peak of Empires.
Sir Birdington was the son of not many farmers. Unlike the rest of Earth, where farming was like the only job, especially in Africa, Asia and Australia, many were warriors or jobsmen. Villages had vanished many years before due to extremely heavy taxes, and now towns were scarce. Cities ruled, unlike anywhere else.
The Village of Vulture is an example of a village. It survived longer than many others, having fallen and collapsed completely at 1327. The last known village to survive was Hornbill in the Amazon, which was destroyed by Reptiles after discovered at 1631. At 1635, villages were illegal.
Those tiny towns in the Amazon are still alive today. They are vastly majority by us, and Bird Towns are hard to find, often surrounded and hidden up in the canopy. Religion was something. The followers of Reptilia, the Reptiles, made it a law to follow Reptilia. Mammalia and other religions ended.
At 786AD, a missionary arrived in Panama. The Birdsfolk there were happy to follow the religion, since they were following ruthless Reptilia. The religion, Christianity, was ended at 1546 after the Reptile Leader discovered the giant populations of it's followers. But many religions had come.
The first, Judaism, came 2400 years ago to Brazil. It stayed for a whopping 1500 years, till it was figured out. Christianity next, then Islam. Islam ended after 20 years. Reptilia followers were ordered to go to places of Reptilship, not Birdship. Those who didn't want to follow were betrayed.
And at 1900, the TV came. Perfect for spying, so the mammals hid it from the Birds who didn't knew it even existed till 1950. A bird spy found out. 2 years later, rebellions ended the mammals. This time, mammals were on TV, across Earth. And many mammal loved films soon disappeared. Especially MammalDuke, which stopped in 1952.
Screens were encouraged by parents. Primarily because Birdkids loved it. And many started getting glasses. Glasses were often lenses to not look goofy, but soon when they did so, so much, their vision got blurry. History witnessed the first Blind Birds, and they did not even stop this till 2018.
This "stupidity" of many Birds in the modern era made many die. Birds, as you know, are very independent. Many have had a higher chance of Myopia in 75 years. And all those Ancient Birdian Empires (Maya, Inca, Byzantine, Samarkand) have fell... but never did, as they defeat their Birdian rulers and became modern countries.
And during the many millions of years on life on our planet, there have been many reporters and writers. And while the first one was a writing of the Chinese Wilderness 165 MYA, many came after the fall of the Roman Empire and the Norman Conquest of England. This is called, "The Last Ancient Emporial Kingdominal Ages".
The Silk Road had opened recently. A hotspot for Traders, many Bird Journalists, Merchants, and Tourists, Poor and Rich, flocked there. But it was a deadly place later in history. The AK47s annihilated tourists, used by murderers and terrorists, and soon Columbus had discovered America.
Simple Bird History narrows to the last million years. Writings of Terror Birds in the most Ancient populated cities are still here. Many are found in South America, but a few are found in Europe. For those mammalian obligates, birds. they. no. longer. ruled. the. age. of. mammals. had. begun.
Empires and Kingdoms had always been there, sometimes in the smallest of sizes. Patna was a Birdian Kingdom in west India. The most east Birdian Kingdom was Kalusccia in Kiribati. For around 1000 years, until the British came, it bursted with life. Gilbertese, the language, named after Lord Gilbert of the birds in 987AD, continues to be their language.
The viral "Currybati" continues to be a media phenomenon as it has since the dawn of TVs in the 1870s. It was put on an American Movie, Night Plight, that was very popular. Bam-erica, another country-name, came viral at the dawn of Facebook in 2006. Mitten Britain and Lance France are other viral examples.
Italy Tally, Mexico Co., BerMoodA, Peri Peru, Whales, Arjun-tina, Chilli Chile, IndiAAH, Bang-ladesh, Boo-tan, ChiNah, Ja-Pan, HawAye, Bowl-ivia, Ecua-door, Can-ada, Spa-in, Port-u-gall, More-occo, Name-ibia, Ben-in, Ni-jeer-ia, Chad, and Sen-e-goal are all types of name-fame.
"Melon-choly" is one of the only name-fame movies, describing the journey of a melon across many habitats to receive the Melon Prism. Forgot the name-fames. Sir Birdington was a true hero to Birdkind. We all know that this is not what he would want to make a name of himself.
JULY 25 2029
It is Friday today, and the Bird Cities and Towns are bustling. However, some serious news has got Sir Birdington's great-great-great-great-great-great grandson, Samateo, up and going. The NewsNeed said, "A 50-yard-in-diameter meteorite has landed on a herder's sheep in the Columbia Countryside. We have been investigating and we have found cameras.". "Alien Invaders!" his son, Amir, said.
The meteorite had drawn tons of attention. The Circus would've vanished from popularity if it hadn't happened like it had for the last 20 years, for it was already 2029, for goodness sake. They were still unpopular. "They do cruelty to animals!" the crowd yelled. So it stopped quickly. But then the Telephone, Coal Mines and Farming Factories began. "Oh, for Bird's sake!" they would protest.
Business became aplenty, although it seemed like to Samateo like it was the past. That, having said, was confirmed when somebody started dressing like a roman; and when another prayed to the God Jupiter, and when the other built a chimney on everybody's house. Honey businesses began, and even the cities were being renamed into "Troy, Sparta, etc.". People then, somehow, began speaking different languages. "Beninin Kusamari, ell passun, do idvika," some would miraculously say.
It was actually only then Merchants appeared and ordinary modern jobs vanished. Currencies changed, and now nothing costed a fortune. But cars, trains, taxis, planes, and trucks disappeared. I then realized that I was the only one speaking and writing English. They stared at me like I was crazy. So, I faced no poverty, but couldn't speak and communicate or do any jobs apart from trading abroad.
Amir was no longer with me. He had somehow got a job abroad in a fishing port. He also forgot English, and acted like an adult. He was very excited, although doing his job 12 hours a day. The locals did not seem friendly, but their kind of "friendly" was ripping the clothes off people. "Jeez, who is this boy?" I once asked them. It turned out to be Amir. My God, I was never expecting him like this.
I was about to faint at the sight of Amir. He seemed like some peasant-boy, working in slums or sewers. It turned out that was what he had been doing before. I took him to the city of Bath."They must have loads of baths here," I muttered under my breath. Unfortunately, there was none. "What kind of-" I was about to say until I realized they didn't speak English.
So we went to Plymouth, and at last he looked middle-class. But this time, I saw Jesus. No idea how, but time had gone back. When I saw him, I immediately praised him. All he said was, "Good Boy". I started trading with them. "Ze Pioub Ke Vas," one shopkeeper replied. "Gibberish, my boy," I tried saying in a very old-fashioned way. "PUMAS!" and he took me to the chapel.
There, we saw a victim tied to the holy cross of Jew. "May you be eternally punished!" (this is translated) the Pope yelled. It was literally the Pope; like seriously. It was then I decided to leave my country and head for Egypt. Soon, only tribes would exist here. But my journey was paused by the Emir of Turkey. I thought time went backwards. So, the further east I went, the closer back to modern time I got.
But when I reached Australia, there were no buildings. I was so silly, for the British hadn't conquered them yet. So, I went to Japan, where at last it felt like the 1900s. So I sailed to Samoa. It felt futuristic. And, there was some Alien. "God Bless you, Z!" they all yelled. They were all British. No Africans here. Except for in the dungeons. Apartheid had begun again.
I headed to Kiribati. One side felt like modern day, whereas the other felt like the very distant past. There was a T-Rex there, and in the surrounding waters there was no fish. Just plankton. The T-Rex's started stomping the small cities. I could not believe what I was seeing. Then, suddenly, it became all present day. It had been a crazy week.
I returned to the UK by plane the same day. It was much simpler. But now, I saw 59 million missiles. "Oh, for Bird's sake," I muttered. It was now the future. I perished, never to be seen again. I hoped Amir was still alive. He was, having refugee under my body. The Sir Birdington Bloodline, it couldn't end. He was no longer saying "Samateo!", but rather running for his life.
He was the only Bird still alive. The Nuclear missiles suddenly ended. Amir was still alive. But now, the Reptiles and Mammals had joint forces in Africa and had entered the South American continent... They had evacuated safely to Africa during the successful Bird wars, and since Birds had never cared about them since, they'd got prepped.
But this wasn't the last event. Volcanoes erupted before him, and now he had to leave my body behind. He ran away into the forest clearing, past some Triceratops who were running for their life. Anything under 25 kilos survived, apparently. Amir was 35 kg. It was now that he was no longer a glimpse, but a distant star.
The Co 2 quickly filed up towards Amir's direction. But that wasn't the biggest concern. 66 reptiles stood in front of him. He attempted to jump over, but failed. He then kicked and barged past, as soon as the smoke covered the reptiles. The coast lay overhead, but there were surprisingly 2 boats. He quickly hopped on them and sailed away.
But the reptiles and mammals had other plans...
